How to Make a Difference with 1-to-1 Meetings

How to Make a Difference with 1-on-1 Meetings

One-on-one meetings are as much a leadership tool as they are a management tool. The main leadership requirement with 1-on-1 meetings involves a desire to make a difference. These meetings can make a GIGANTIC difference if approached properly. While we’ll cover some of the essentials for conducting 1-on-1’s, we’d like to share a few additional perspectives that you may not find elsewhere.

Benchmarking

  1. Finally came the day when you can compare all your projects in one place! You can navigate to this new super-feature using our navigation bar on the left.

You might be wondering, how does it work and what will you find inside.
You can compare your projects (or teams) using the filters on the top of the chart for any selected period. Pick a metric of your interest to see how your projects / teams are doing and who are the best performers.
Additionally, for every metric we’re calculating an average benchmark based on all the created projects (or teams on the Teams tab) in the workspace which helps you to see which projects are driving higher or lower values.

Benchmarking

Depending on which tab (Projects or Teams) you choose, you’ll find interesting and useful comparison charts that should help you understand which projects / teams are performing the best or need some guidance to improve. So you can investigate what best practices people follow in the most productive teams and share the knowledge across your organization.

Benchmarking

It will take you only a few seconds to see which projects / teams are driving your company’s development performance. You will be able to quickly understand what are the major differences between your projects / teams setup and activities that drive better or worse performance.

Refresh All Projects with a click

We know… going into every single project and refreshing them one by one was annoying. With our newly introduced ‘Refresh All Projects’ button on our Dashboard view you don’t need to suffer anymore. If you want to see all your projects with up-to-date data, just go to the Dashboard view and click on this magic button right here:

Project Status Indicator

After you refresh, edit, or add new projects, you’ll be able to see their refresh status. Depending on the amount of data you are trying to import, refresh or modify it can take some time. Now you can hover over the status icon and see if your data refresh is still in progress, if there were any errors during the refresh, and when it was refreshed the last time.

Upgraded navigation to select repositories and developers

We noticed that in some cases where our users had tons of repos to choose from, it took ages to go through all of them to pick the one they were looking for. To end the suffering, we decided to improve the navigation to a more flexible and user-friendly one using a list with a scroll-down option (instead left and right pagination). We hope it will make your project and team setups more efficient.

Remember that you can also use the search bar to quickly find what you are looking for! 😉

Automatic weekly data refresh

We hear you and we want to make you happy. That’s why we’ve implemented a weekly automatic data refresh for all your projects. It runs every Saturday at midnight, PST (UTC -8), so you can have all your analytics fresh and ready for your review on Monday! You’re very welcome 😎
This feature is available only during the 14-day free trial, and for our professional subscribers.

Deep Dive refreshed and improved

A small design change can make everything easier. For an effortless performance comparison, we have upgraded the look and feel of our Deep Dive to cross-compare your developers’ productivity.
You can understand who are your top performers in any metric and interactively sort on different metrics to see how they are doing in other KPIs.
Stay tuned! We are soon adding PR and review metrics to this view.

This feature is available only during the 14-day free trial, for our professional subscribers and in our on-prem solution.
