Hello Gitential Users,

It’s the middle of the summer vacation for many but we’re not slowing down!

Last month we released some new cool features, designed and implemented new functionalities for our on-prem solution, as well as for the Cloud:

  • Insights Studio with Custom Dashboards
  • Interval Settings for Chart
  • Duplicate Workspace
  • Bugfixes: improving coding hours calculations

Let’s take a look!

1. Insights Studio

Two months ago we released “a teaser” of the Insights Studio feature. It allowed you to create and save custom charts. 

Now you can finally enjoy its full potential. Our goal was to enable you to create your own custom reports, first by creating your own charts. Now you can create entire dashboards by picking the charts you want, in any configuration you need.

4. Save your dashboards into your library and edit or manage them anytime:

2. Time Interval Settings for displaying the data

We wanted to allow you to modify the way charts show the data. From now on you don’t have to use the default setup. You can adjust if you want to see the data hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly depending on the time range you choose:

3. Duplicate your Workspace

This is one of the features we created for On-Prem but we also wanted to share it with our Cloud Professional users. We know that sometimes you have a lot of projects and teams set up in your workspaces but sometimes can’t share all of them with everyone. For that reason, we made it possible to copy your whole workspace with its settings, modify it as needed, and then share it with appropriate colleagues or teams. It will save you a lot of time and frustration!

You can find it in Workspace Management:

Then just click on the icon and pick a name for the duplicate (just use another name than the existing one).

After clicking “Create duplicate” you’ll be redirected to the new workspace where you can immediately manage its settings and collaborators.

Later you can find it easily in your workspace menu:

Bug Fixes

We reviewed our metrics calculations and decided to improve Coding Hours, which will be aligned across all the charts.
